Financial Controller
£60k -£70k

The Financial Controller will work closely with the Finance Director with responsibility for reporting, driving efficiency and above all adding value to the business. You will work with a lean team across multiple locations, managing the routine accounting function & Project accounting function whilst supporting your commercial business partners to grow the business.

The Finance Controller will be responsible for:
-Manage the reporting cycle: management and statutory reporting, reconciliations, VAT returns, nominal adjustments and group submissions using Cognos
-Lead the budget and rolling forecasting processes
-Monitor and control business working capital requirements
-Work with the senior management team to develop project KPIs and provide regular feedback and insight to business unit directors
-Assist Finance Director with refinement of the existing business management systems
-Manage the finance team including transactional and project accountants.
-Provide financial support to overseas entities
-Take responsibility for the control environment
-Identify and recommend potential operational efficiencies and improvements to procedures
-Drive and improve the Project accounting reporting
-Maintain integrity of JFMS Balance Sheet through regular reviews and monthly reconciliations
-Assist in preparation of Statutory Accounts
-Contact point for external auditors ensuring audits run smoothly
-Manage the Sage administration and control environment across
-Completion of other regular ad hoc corporate requirements
-Ensure compliance with all corporate internal controls, adherence to internal audit recommendations and keeping financial reporting documents documentation

Experience & Background Required:

- ACA, ACCA, CIMA Qualified Accountant or equivalent
- Experience of working within a similar environment
- Experience of change implementation
- Ability to motivate self and influence others
- Excellent Communications skills
- Flexible in personal approach
- Problem Solving
