About this role


Position: Permanent Full-Time Role
Hours: 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday (flexibility required for occasional evening workshops and Saturdays)
Location: Kings Cross
Salary: £28,000 per annum
Reporting to: House Manager


Join our dynamic team a dedicated breast cancer support centre located in Kings Cross, London. We provide comprehensive support services for individuals diagnosed with breast cancer, both in-person and virtually. As we expand, we're seeking a passionate individual to join us in delivering exceptional service to our visitors.
This role is emotionally rewarding and requires collaboration, dynamism, and productivity. It involves a combination of house management and front-of-house duties, including physically demanding tasks such as lifting and setting up rooms.


Key Responsibilities


House Management:
* Open and close the House, conduct daily security and maintenance walk-troughs.
* Maintain knowledge of property systems and procedures in the absence of the House Manager.
* Replenish supplies in common areas, kitchens, and therapy rooms, and manage stock.
* Run errands for house supplies as needed.
* Ensure cleanliness and tidiness throughout the House, including dish washing and plant care.
* Manage laundry from therapy rooms.
* Set up and clear away food and beverages for workshops and events.
* Prepare studios and therapy rooms daily, troubleshoot setup issues.


Front of House:
* Welcome visitors courteously and professionally, maintain visit logs, offer refreshments and house tours.
* Handle telephone inquiries with compassion, assist with workshop bookings or direct to appropriate staff.
* Address visitor issues professionally and provide appropriate assistance.
* Undertake administrative tasks such as room bookings, database updates, and email responses.
* Manage incoming and outgoing mail, including trips to the post office, deliveries, and packaging.
* Send out leaflets and checklists.
* Order bras and process payments for the bra lounge and other products.


Other:
* Direct, oversee, and train volunteer team members in the absence of the House Manager.
* Occasionally support fundraising events.
* Assist in emergencies and undertake other reasonable duties as required.
