An opportunity has arisen for a Court of Protection Lawyer to join an award-winning, Legal 500 & Chambers-ranked law firm as a Senior Court of Protection Lawyer across any office location within the county of East Sussex.

The Private Client team consists of 20 solicitors and Legal Advisers who act for a broad range of clients. It has established a 3-year growth plan and has recently joined a network of over 900 experts giving clients access to new services and expertise.
The role will include working on a busy caseload of complex matters including acquired brain injuries, mental health issues, learning difficulties, and the elderly. The cases consist of deputyship applications, disputes Lasting Powers of Attorney, lifetime gifting, and Statutory Wills.
Ideally, you will have 5PQE+ within this area as well as a particular court of protection experience. In addition, you will likely have knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act, the ability to manage a caseload, and a willingness to engage in business development.
