Are you an experienced Sous Chef looking for your next opportunity in a rewarding environment that offers an excellent work-life balance, including daytime hours and one weekend off in every two? Our client is seeking a passionate and reliable Sous Chef to join their friendly catering team within a high-quality care setting.

As Sous Chef, you'll support the day-to-day running of the kitchen, ensuring residents receive nutritious, delicious meals that meet their individual dietary needs. You'll work closely with the Head Chef to maintain high food standards while leading and motivating the kitchen team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the smooth day-to-day operation of the kitchen.
  • Prepare fresh, nutritious, and diet-specific meals for residents.
  • Support menu planning and development using seasonal ingredients.
  • Manage stock levels and help control food costs.
  • Ensure full compliance with Food Safety and Health & Safety regulations.
  • Supervise, train, and support kitchen team members.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food presentation.

About You

  • Has previous experience as a Sous Chef, Senior Chef or similar role in a busy kitchen.
  • Is passionate about producing high-quality, fresh food.
  • Has experience catering for a variety of dietary requirements.
  • Can lead and motivate a team with confidence.
  • Holds a Food Hygiene qualification (or is willing to work towards one).
  • Is organised, reliable, and committed to delivering excellent standards.
