*Position Overview:*

We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Operating Department Recovery Practitioner/Nurse to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients recovering from anaesthesia and surgical procedures in the post-anaesthesia care unit (PACU) or recovery room. Your primary focus will be on assessing patients, managing their recovery, and ensuring their comfort and safety following surgery.

**Responsibilities:**

- Monitor and assess patients recovering from anaesthesia and surgical procedures in the PACU or recovery room.

- Provide skilled nursing care, including managing pain, nausea, and other post-operative symptoms.

- Collaborate closely with anaesthesiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

- Assess and manage patients' airways and vital signs, including oxygen saturation, blood pressure, and heart rate.

- Administer medications and IV fluids as prescribed by physicians.

- Implement and maintain a safe environment for patients, including infection control measures and patient safety protocols.

- Educate patients and their families about post-operative care instructions and potential complications.

- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely.

*Requirements:*

-Immunisation History report

-Bachelor's degree in Nursing Or ODP Practice BA(Hons)

-Must be registered with the NMC or HCPC with an up-to-date PIN number with no restrictions

- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

-A member of the NMC council, with a valid Pin.
