Search Finance and Accounting have partnered with a large organisation in Birmingham within the services industry to appoint a new Payroll Manager on a permanent basis.

Your Profile
My client is looking for strong technical skills, leadership skills and the ability to inspire and motivate a small team and interact with senior stakeholders.
You will have proven track record of working in a payroll position, being able to demonstrate the core fundamentals in implementing process improvements and want to further your career.
- Excellent technical expertise in payroll.
- Up to date knowledge of UK payroll, tax and employment law (as relevant) and best practice approaches in these areas.
- Excellent experience in a similar position.
- Proven capabilities as a people manager, with a flexible and inclusive management style.
- Highly proficient IT skills, including the MS Office.
- Confident and able to quickly learn new IT skills and software packages as required.
The Role
- Provide support to the and be a number 2 to the Head of Payroll to ensure full oversight of team deliverables and performance.
- Identify process improvements and efficiency supporting system development, as required and lead on their implementation.
- Lead and develop the existing payroll team, heighten their skills and identify area's where improvement is required.
Salary
Salary is £45,000 to £53,000 with excellent company benefits, including holidays and hybrid working.
