About the Role

A commercial Legal Counsel role reporting into the Head of Legal, supported by a Paralegal, a risk team, external counsel and various other internal stakeholders. You will work on broad commercial contracts negotiations and reviews, including technology, supply, procurement, facilities and maintenance agreements, all the while advising on legal and organisational risk. Additionally, you will support with core company secretarial work while assisting with regulatory horizon scanning to ensure the charity's compliance with its obligations. The role will be largely remote, with regular catch ups with the team and occasional travel within the UK.

About You

You will a qualified lawyer in England & Wales with a commercial contracts background and the desire to work in a charity. An understanding of company secretarial matters (filings, resolutions, meeting/committee minutes, etc.) would be helpful. The hiring manager will be flexible in relation to PQE as the long as the individual can do the job. While an understanding of public sector framework and charities would be welcomed, the organisation is actively considering applicants from the private sector who can adapt to the role.
