We are currently recruiting for an exceptional Head Chef to lead the culinary operation within one of London's most prestigious international law firms.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented and ambitious Head Chef who is passionate about delivering outstanding food and hospitality whilst enjoying an excellent work-life balance. The role oversees a team of nine chefs operating across both a high-end hospitality kitchen and an exclusive in-house client brasserie restaurant, delivering some of the highest standards within the London contract catering market.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a demanding and quality-focused operation, producing everything from fine dining hospitality, working lunches, bowl food, canapé receptions and client events, through to premium daily restaurant service and large-scale sandwich and lunch production.
The Role
As Head Chef, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day culinary operation, ensuring consistently exceptional standards across all food offerings.
You will lead, develop and inspire a talented brigade whilst maintaining strong financial controls, driving innovation and ensuring the operation continues to exceed client expectations.
Responsibilities will include:
- Leading and developing a team of 9 chefs across hospitality and restaurant operations
- Delivering exceptional fine dining hospitality, client events and executive dining
- Overseeing a premium in-house brasserie restaurant
- Managing large-scale working lunch and sandwich production
- Driving menu innovation and seasonal food development
- Maintaining exceptional food safety, compliance and due diligence standards
- Managing food cost, labour and kitchen budgets
- Building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Ensuring consistency, quality and presentation remain at the highest level
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Head Chef or strong Senior Sous/Executive Sous Chef ready for progression
- Contract catering experience preferred, although exceptional candidates from fine dining, luxury hotels or high-end hospitality backgrounds will also be considered
- Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to develop high-performing teams
- Experience delivering high-volume, premium food operations
- Excellent knowledge of fine dining, hospitality and modern food trends
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of kitchen financials
- Exceptional organisational and communication skills
- Passion for food, innovation and delivering outstanding guest experiences
