Location: Liverpool
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm
Salary: £28,000 per annum, rising to £28,500 upon successful completion of a 6-month probation period

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Operations Team Leader to join our Liverpool-based team. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive leader who is passionate about developing people, improving processes, and driving operational excellence.

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading, managing, and motivating the Operations team while ensuring exceptional service delivery, quality standards, and productivity levels are consistently achieved. Acting as a key link between senior management and the wider team, you will play a vital role in creating a positive and high-performing culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and support the Operations team to achieve business objectives.
  • Conduct regular 1:1 meetings, coaching sessions, and performance reviews.
  • Manage workloads and resource allocation to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Monitor team performance and implement improvements where required.
  • Handle employee relations matters, including absence management and return-to-work interviews.
  • Set clear goals, delegate tasks effectively, and track progress against targets.
  • Resolve day-to-day team issues and support a positive working environment.
  • Identify process improvements and recommend solutions to enhance productivity.
  • Communicate team performance, challenges, and development needs to the Operations Manager.
  • Hold regular team meetings to ensure effective communication and engagement.
  • Ensure service levels, quality standards, and deadlines are consistently met.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven decision making.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience in a Team Leader, Supervisor, or similar people management position.
  • Proven experience conducting 1:1 meetings and managing employee performance.
  • Strong coaching and development skills.
  • Experience managing team productivity, performance, and workloads.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to balance accountability with support and motivation.
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach to leadership.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively in a busy environment.
