👨‍🍳 Deputy Chef - Care Home

📍 Edinburgh, EH9
💷 £15 per hour
🕒 4 out of 7 days (rota basis)- 7am start
📅 Contract until end of July - possible extension

Search Recruitment Group is currently hiring a Deputy Chef to join a supportive care home kitchen team in Edinburgh (EH9).

You'll be working closely with a newly appointed Head Chef, supporting the introduction of fresh ideas and ensuring consistency in the kitchen's operation - including covering the kitchen during the Head Chef's days off.

🥘 Role Overview:

• Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner for up to 90 residents

• Support the Head Chef with new menu ideas and day-to-day kitchen operations

• Take charge of the kitchen during the Head Chef's absence to ensure smooth service

• Uphold high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and compliance in line with care home regulations

✅ Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Cook or Chef is essential

• Must hold a valid PVG to work in a care environment

• Comfortable working in a care home setting and catering to varied dietary needs

• A team player with a proactive, can-do attitude
