Stepping up for Teenage Cancer Trust

On Friday, 14th June, Search took part in a sponsored 5km walk or run companywide to raise the largest amount yet for our chosen charity partner, Teenage Cancer Trust. We pledged to raise £10,000 and asked colleagues across the UK to raise £50 each to help reach our ambitious target.

Whether they wanted to take a scenic stroll through their respective cities or challenge themselves to a 5km run (hats off to those who even decided to add a weighted vest!), the sponsored 5km was open to all abilities and offered a real chance for our offices across the UK to pull together to reach our shared goal.

We are delighted to announce that we have exceeded our £10,000 target and raised a phenomenal total of £14,723 which will enable Teenage Cancer Trust to fund specialist nurses and youth workers who support young people (aged 13-24) whose worlds have been turned upside down by cancer. These vital funds offer a young person a better quality of life during their diagnosis and treatment, allowing them to hold on to their identity and independence. Thank you to all our clients, family, and friends who kindly donated - your support and words of encouragement have not gone unnoticed.

At Search, we believe in making a difference beyond the realm of business. It has been a pleasure to partner with Teenage Cancer Trust, a remarkable charity dedicated to a cause that touches many hearts. As we hand over the baton to our next charity partner, voted for by our employees, we are proud to reflect on the fundraising events of the past twelve months and even prouder to say that we have raised a total of £17,000.
