As an HGV Driver, your job will be to transport goods to different locations. Driving vehicles over 7.5 tonnes, HGV driving jobs involve transportation of goods to and from distribution centres, depots and warehouses.

HGV Jobs - The skills and experience you need
As an HGV or LGV Driver, you will need the skills and license to operate at least one of the following vehicles:
- LGV C&E (Class 1)
- LGV C (Class 2)
- 7.5 tonne drivers
- Courier drivers
Before a job offer, HGV Drivers must also undergo checks which cover the following areas:
- Reference checks
- Licence checks (completed at regular intervals)
- Medical declaration
- Driving declaration
- Proof of eligibility to work and identity
- Written assessment (general knowledge & driving rules)
