Deputy Manager - Children's Residential Home
Location: Walsall CH61
Salary: £16.25-£17.78 per hour (dependent on qualifications and experience)
Sleep-in Payment: £60 per sleep
Contract: Full Time
Hours: Flexible shift patterns including sleep-ins
Qualifications: Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (essential). Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or willingness to work towards) is desirable.
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Deputy Manager to join a brand-new children's residential home in Walsall (CH61).
Working alongside the Registered Manager, you'll play a key role in opening the home from the ground up, helping to establish a positive culture, high standards of care and a supportive environment where children and young people can thrive.

Key Responsibilities
Support the Registered Manager with the successful opening and day-to-day running of the home.
Lead, motivate and develop the residential team, promoting high standards of care and safeguarding.
Take responsibility for the home in the Registered Manager's absence.
Build positive, therapeutic relationships with children and young people.
Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding procedures and company policies.
Support staff through supervision, coaching and performance management.
Complete care plans, risk assessments, incident reports and other required documentation.
Work collaboratively with families, social workers and external professionals to achieve the best outcomes for young people.
Promote a nurturing, child-centred environment where young people can reach their full potential.
What We're Looking For
Experience working within children's residential care.
Previous experience in a Senior Residential Support Worker or Deputy Manager position.
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (essential).
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management, or willingness to work towards achieving it.
Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.
A genuine passion for supporting children and young people.
Flexibility to work shift patterns, including sleep-ins.
Full UK driving licence preferred.
