Search are supporting the recruitment of a Cashroom Assistant to join a well established legal finance team in Edinburgh with hybrid working. This role sits at the heart of the organisation's financial operations, supporting the accurate processing of client and office transactions while ensuring compliance with sector regulations.
This is a great opportunity for someone with legal cashiering experience who enjoys a structured, detail focused role and working as part of a collaborative team.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Processing day to day client and office account transactions, including payments, receipts and transfers
* Maintaining accurate financial records and client ledgers
* Performing regular bank and account reconciliations
* Supporting compliance with Law Society Accounts Rules and internal controls
* Assisting with billing, invoicing and allocation of receipts
* Supporting month end processes and financial reporting
* Handling queries from internal teams and external contacts
* Providing wider support across the cashroom function as required
Skills and experience that will benefit your application:
* Previous experience in a cashroom, legal cashier or similar finance role
* Understanding of legal accounting processes and compliance requirements
* Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
* Confident using finance systems and Microsoft Office
* Good organisational skills and ability to manage deadlines
* SOLAS Qualification (desirable)
