We’ve now launched our revised jobs site, at www.search.co.uk/jobs, as part of our ongoing updating of site content and structure. This update has been in response to user and client feedback to further improve the site environment and effectiveness in matching applicants with their ideal job.
We have also launched a revised main site at www.search.co.uk to offer an improved general web search capability, news and more to follow. More new ‘channel’ sites will also be launched in the near future so keep your eyes peeled (well, at least add us to your ‘favourites’ and keep popping back on occasion for an update).
Lots to do and too little time so need to sign off. Just log into www.search.co.uk/jobs and search over 5,000 UK jobs from 300+ UK employers.

Search.co.uk has sealed an exclusive deal with Real Radio, Scotland’s no.1 commercial radio station, to launch “Real Jobs”; a new jobs portal on the Real Radio website which will bring vacancies across Scotland to the attention of Real Radio’s 700,000+ weekly listeners, as well as visitors to the website.
This is the second partnership agreement announced by search.co.uk in as many weeks, following its acquisition of the leading highlands and islands job site hijobs.co.uk in late July.
Billy Anderson, MD of Real radio commented, “This partnership allows us to create an instant jobs resource for our listeners and to widen our offering to include first class career vacancies across the whole spectrum of the Scottish population that we serve. It’s something we have wanted to do for some time and the link with search.co.uk means we hit the ground running when the site officially launched this week (Monday, August 17th).”
The Real Jobs website, www.realradio.co.uk/jobs, will provide access to around 1,500 Scottish employer vacancies across a wide range of industry sectors. The vacancies will also be promoted on-air via a ‘Real Jobs’ feature.
Peter Gillespie, MD of search.co.uk said, “I am obviously delighted to confirm this deal with Real Radio and a new partnership approach that provides benefits for both of us. Having only launched at the start of this year, I believe Search.co.uk’s operating model represents a new approach to recruitment advertising, using technology to deliver uniquely effective result for recruiters and job seekers.”
“As an ambitious, new company we are always looking to make alliances and acquisitions to grow our business in the right way. Last week’s announcement of our expansion into the Highlands and islands via the acquisition of ‘Hijobs.co.uk’, and this week’s deal with Scotland’s no.1 commercial radio station, across central Scotland, clearly demonstrate our ambition and plans to grow our business and give the Scottish recruitment market a shake.”
Real Radio has more than 700,000 regular listeners and Real Radio Scotland’s website enjoys an average of 60,000* unique users on average each month. This population will be added to the 850,000 active job seekers search.co.uk can already reach across the UK, to expand the offering to jobseekers and recruiters in Scotland through ‘Real Jobs’.
