Permanent Senior Planner - Construction

£50,000 to £75,000 dependent on experience

Search are excited to be working in partnership with a Tier 1 Contractor who are looking to expand their current commercial team and in need of a senior planner, given their extensive pipeline of work. The pipeline of work this contractor allows for a sense of job satisfaction and have specific standards to work and adhere to.
This company is a fast paced contractor who will be required to complete small works projects up to 3 million, whilst also completing clinical works with an extremely quick turnaround. This contractor has an extremely low turnover rate always finding the time within their teams to improve their staff knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure compliance with the management system / planning procedures through the region.
* Demonstrate a sound working knowledge of design, procurement and commercial processes, and the interdependencies and impact on planning and programming.
* Demonstrate a sound working knowledge of forms of contract, construction law, construction technology, modern construction techniques and time and resource management.
* Demonstrate a sound knowledge of industry initiatives and take the lead in assessing implications and opportunities to the planning function.
* Demonstrate sound analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Communicate effectively and work as a team leader.
* Demonstrate ability to solve problems in a customer focused manner.
* Effectively deal with clients / consultants / subcontractors.
* Computer literate - ability to utilise Asta Powerproject, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Bluebeam and internet as required.
What we're looking for:
* Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
* Proven experience as a Construction Planner, with a focus on hospital refurbishments.
* Proficiency in ASTA Powerproject or similar construction scheduling software.
* Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and techniques, particularly as they relate to healthcare environments.
* Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results on time and within budget.
