Wills and Probate Lawyer

A friendly and professional firm of solicitors offering services to individuals and businesses and with a specialist and innovative approach to Private Client Work, seek a Private Client Lawyer to join their central office in Chichester. The firm prides itself on its strong client care ethos and this is reflected in the accreditations they have received including solicitors for the elderly and STEP Will Writing.

Due to a promotion within the firm a Wills & Probate Solicitor or Legal Executive is required to join their team of 6 fee earners and 6 support staff. The role will see you offering support and legal advice to clients in relation to Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Administration of Estate, Deputyship, Applications, Management of Affairs, Declarations of Trust.

Additionally you will assist clients with estate and tax planning (using Wills, trusts and lifetime giving), Living Wills, Statutory Wills, prepare Powers of Attorney and undertake Court of Protection work, dealing with the finances and (if appropriate) making an application for relevant benefits, administration of trusts, information on home care, preserving assets in the event of long-term residential or nursing care, care home contracts.

Training in relation to Dementia Friends and Solicitors for the Elderly will be offered if not already completed.

To be successful you will:-

• Be a qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with in excess of 2 Years PQE gained in a private client role (More experienced applicants will be considered)
• Be open to STEP qualification if not already obtained
• Be passionate and a team player
