Welfare Contract Officer
Manchester
£12.33 per hour

We are looking to recruit a Welfare Contact Officer on a temporary basis. Working pattern is full time hours.

Responsibilities of the role:

* The role supports the provision of housing related support for residents and works with customers and agencies to provide long term housing solutions and ensures that residents receive appropriate support.
* This is an office based role and will involve telephoning customers who are accommodated in temporary accommodation to check on their welfare, and ensure that local services are accessed.
* They will also advise on benefits, including housing benefit, and issues rated to accommodation.
* The post needs an awareness and understanding of Safeguarding issues.
* The applicant will be IT literate and be able to maintain accurate records will need to be maintained.
* The role holder will act as point of contact for customers of the Homelessness Service, assess the needs of the customer and provide effective and accurate information and advice.
* The role holder will be conversant and knowledgeable in specific subjects providing a detailed and comprehensive level of service advice.
* The role holder will work as part of a team and contribute to the provision of a high quality service directly supporting service and organisational objectives.
