Are you a Warehouse Operations Manager experienced within Chilled, Frozen, Ambient and/or FMCG distribution? The opening of a c200,000 sq ft distribution centre this October in Coventry was the result of continued organic growth and will support this leading 3PL's customer's ever-expanding network of operations. You will be instrumental in managing this busy 24/7 FMCG operation by providing a total inventory solution to your customer operating from a multi-temperature distribution centre. Reporting to the General Manager you will oversee the smooth day to day running of the Warehouse Operation including productivity, process, continuous improvement, health & safety, stock and administration. With several direct and c100 indirect reports, you will lead and influence to ensure that performance within the operation achieves the agreed service levels. You will agree on set priorities for your teams, ensuring a balance between day to day delivery, longer-term planning and key operational projects.
You will take a lead in identifying and driving continuous improvement opportunities through the use of Kaizen, Lean and Six Sigma principles. In any FMCG environment Health and Safety, hygiene and audit are high on the list of priorities and as such you will ensure that all policies, principals audit trails are managed and effectively utilised throughout all operational area's. Finally, you will have accountability for managing stock, cycles and investigations.
On offer is a basic salary in the region of £50,000 plus car or car allowance, bonus up to 15%, pension, private healthcare, life insurance and 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
In order to progress we are looking for individuals that can demonstrate expertise in fast moving distribution centres, preferably within the food arena. You will need to demonstrate how your leadership, planning and project experience has had a positive impact on delivering against SLA's, budget and initiatives. Experience within unionised environments and the use of AS400 would be an advantage.
