OVERALL DESCRIPTION OF THE POST
· To bring new business, primarily in the form of small to medium size corporate accounts into the agency.
· Once the agency has established a good corporate client base, to supplement the above with leisure travel from these corporate accounts.
· To call on and service existing corporate accounts.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To make the required number of contacts to prospective corporate clients, resulting in appointments with corporate travel decision makers, group leaders, and human resource decision makers. Delivery of presentations and closed sales, resulting in targets being met and increased turnover for the agency.
To ensure that the New Agency Onstream Process is followed and successfully implemented in the agency.
To service the account as the liaison to the agency by follow-up meetings, delivery of tickets, and bringing feedback to the agency.
To review corporate account management reports and ensure the travellers and the companies are registered with the relevant frequent flyers and corporate airline incentives.
Training and Networking
To attend sales training and other prescribed courses, networking sessions, Business Development Managers' meetings, and other relevant courses.
Produce Weekly Sales Reports
The Business Development Manager is expected to meet daily with the Managing Director and produce weekly sales reports tracking and monitoring sales calls and results.
MAINTAINING A DATABASE
To implement where necessary and maintain an accurate and up to date database of current and possible clients.
DRAW UP AND IMPLEMENT A MARKETING PLAN
To work with the Managing Director in producing and implementing an annual marketing plan. Ensuring compliance with the marketing plan, and updating this where necessary.
The Business Development Manager is expected to attend presentations and seminars presented by travel suppliers throughout the year. The Business Development Manager is also expected to help arrange and attend relevant trade fairs/exhibitions to promote Premier Travel and bring in new business.
An educational trip report (where applicable) is to be written and given to the Managing Director within 1 week of returning from an educational trip. A thank you letter to all suppliers and hosts of the educational must also be written immediately upon return.

· Minimum of 5 years' experience in sales.
· Excellent organisation skills.

· Self motivated.
· Computer literate.
· Car owner.
· Full clean driving license.
· Willingness to learn about the travel industry and keep up to date with the relevant changes.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
Basic Salary: £20,000-£25,000
Commission: 10% of profit generated from new sales that you bring into the business for a period of 12 months.
Travel Expenses: You will be reimbursed for all business related travel expenses on the provision of original receipts. Expenses will be reimbursed to you every month, with your pay.
Lap Top: You will be provided with a lap top to carry out presentations and to aid you with your daily organisation.
