My client is a successful and growing logistics business who now need an exerienced Transport Administrator/Coordinator to join them on a Permanent basis.
Key duties include:
Liaising with drivers - briefing, route allocation, dealing with queries
The day to day supervision of and liaison with drivers and support personnel including the on-site mechanic.
Monitoring of working time directive, drivers hours and tachograph infringements.
Involvement in the recruitment of HGV drivers and support personnel, including interviewing and ensuring all new employees are inducted and trained accordingly. This also includes negotiating and liaising with driver agencies when required.
Some load planning and backhaul support
Assist with the Investigating of accidents, incidents and complaints in a timely manner.
Daily, weekly and monthly administration, which includes fuel monitoring, tolls, driver paperwork etc.
Be in charge of the out of hours' mobile phone and action or forward on communications as appropriate.
In order to be considered for this position, you will have worked within a Transport administration role before and understand WTD, driver hours and all associated admin. You will have good communication skills and be comfortable liaising with drivers, customers and colleagues alike.
Hours - Monday- Friday 8am-5pm
