A great opportunity has arisen for an experienced Transport Coordinator to join a successful company near Ashby de la Zouch, Leicestershire. This full-time, flexible logistics support role pays a competitive salary of £22,000 and is comprised of 10-hour day time shifts. You'll be joining a great team in a positive and friendly working environment with minimal staff turnover.
As the Transport Coordinator, you'll be responsible for supporting the management and scheduling of a fleet of delivery trucks as well as handling any issues or queries from both drivers and customers. You'd be responsible for the overall quality of deliveries and will liaise with customers and suppliers via email and phone. There will be some data entry; completing paperwork and logging data on the computer system. You will also be on hand to pre-brief and de-brief all drivers.
You would be working 10-hour day time shifts with no weekend working.
Requirements & qualifications:
We're looking for an experienced Transport Coordinator who is also highly adept at providing excellent customer service. The right candidate will also need to be computer literate with basic technical knowledge of IT products. They should comfortable using company systems to measure performance, such as Tachomaster, Verilocation and TMS. There's a comprehensive training programme, and if you're technically-minded, able to follow instructions and processes, you may see your career prosper. Someone who uses their initiative is collaborative and is proactive in dealing with customers and suppliers would do well in this role.
