Trainee Sales Executive

  • Ellesmere Port
  • £24,000 basic salary plus un-capped commission (£33,000 to £36,000 OTE)

Due to continued company growth we are recruiting several Sales Executives and Trainee Sales Executives to join a market leading company in Ellesmere Port. The position is to work within an established team and uses a consultative sales approach to discuss different services with business clients.

The position is office based and comes with a basic salary of £24,000 plus un-capped commission. Hours of work are Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm. There is also free onsite parking.

This would be ideal for those looking for a career in sales who come from a customer service, call centre, retail or hospitality background. Recent graduates will also be seriously considered; The company offer excellent induction, on-going training and day to day support to really develop your career.

The main duties of a Sales Executive are;

  • Business to business sales
  • Achieve sales and performance targets through outbound calling
  • Make initial contact with main decision makers and build a strong business relationship
  • Use a consultative sales approach to understand the clients requirements and identify suitable products and services to meet their individual needs
  • Listen and understand the client to ensure a tailored solution
  • When applicable make appointments for external field sales staff to attend
  • Manage diary and sales pipeline of prospects
  • Provide client with quotations and update on orders
  • Keep up to date with latest industry news, developments and regulations
  • Log activity and keep CRM system up to date
  • Ensure company remain GDPR compliant

To be considered for the role of Sales Executive you must;

  • Ideally you will have telephone experience but those from a face to face customer service role or recent graduates will also be considered
  • Have a high work ethic and ability to bound back positively from rejection
  • Possess an outgoing and engaging personality with a professional phone manner
  • Strong verbal communication and organisational skills
