HR Assistant; Temporary / Temp to Perm; Macclesfield; Hourly rate equivalent up to £22,000

Our valued, national SME client is urgently looking for a HR Assistant to support their HR function on a temporary basis. The HR Assistant will report into the Head of HR in their offices based in Macclesfield, Cheshire. The HR Assistant will work in a friendly, close knit and supporting small HR team, and primarily support the day-to-day generalist admin for HR. This HR Assistant role provides great exposure to most, if not all aspects of HR in an SME setting, and will suit a HR Administrator who is looking to build on their experience in a fast paced environment.

The temporary post holder will have the opportunity to interview for a full time, permanent position within the business.

The successful candidate's core duties and responsibilities will include (but by no means be limited to):

* Managing the full administrative employee lifecycle;
* Effectively manage and organise the recruitment, including liaising with agencies and internal stakeholders, advertising roles and sitting in on some interviews where required;
* Updating employee details and requests, such as holiday, flexible working, paternity/maternity;
* Produce letters for new starters, leavers and those approaching probationary periods, as well as creating and updating new starter files;
* Actively support with Employee Relations cases including absence and performance management and reporting, and sitting in and note taking in ER meetings

Candidate requirements:

* Minimum L3 CIPD qualified or working towards
* Recent and relevant working experience in a similar HR Admin/Assistant role, ideally in an SME environment however this isn't essential
* I.T skills - competency in using Microsoft packages such as Excel
* Confident and approachable personality, and the ability to 'spin a lot of plates at once'
