Technical Services Lead

Technical Services Lead

Up to £50,000 d.o.e.
Manchester

This position within a leading logistics services provider in the UK would suit anyone who is looking for a role in a challenging environment, where team spirit and passion are the order of the day, and international travel is commonplace.

You will work out of the UK headquarters of this Europe-wide business, taking the lead role in a team focussed on hosted applications and managed cloud services, managing relationships between the internal IT teams and 3rd part vendors.

You'll have responsibility for the structure of the datacentre and cloud services for the business, working alongside the lead of the Security team to ensure vendors are handling infrastructure within SLAs.

You don't need to have technical hands-on ability per se, but you will need knowledge of:
* Supplier governance
* SLA management
* AWS or Azure cloud
* O365
* SQL Server
* Large-scale ERP systems

While you won't need to technically put any of these into place yourself, you should have enough knowledge to know what each of these does and how they interconnect. The role itself will focus more on vendor relationship management and development of the internal IT systems.

This is a chance to completely own a process within this international business, and the role will involved regular travel to meet with vendors, as well as international travel to European offices, so you should be comfortable with having this as part of your role.

If you want to play an integral part in the IT strategy and system development of one of Europe's biggest logistics companies, and you have top notch communication skills and an ability to distil needs into a simple form, then this could be the perfect role for you.
