Technical Project Manager
You may not know this yet, but there's a big player in the North-West housing market who are looking for a Technical Solutions Manager to join their team in Manchester!
This organisation run a number of community schemes and enterprises that directly benefit the people of Manchester and Greater Manchester, as well as their day-to-day operations of ensuring the maintenance and proper management of thousands of homes across the region.
What will I be doing?
Well, this is quite an exciting time for the IT team, as they have started to grow their service offering, and hence the teams that support them throughout the business.
You'll join the team as a Project Manager, putting your technical specialism to good use within the Infrastructure team, supporting all aspects of the product and service lifecycles, in the end deliver outstanding customer and business solutions.
Am I the sort of person that they're looking for?
Quite possibly - certainly you are if you like to stay supremely organised. The project paperwork will need kept right up to scratch, and that means you'll perfectly fit the mould if you love documenting, scripting and writing.
If you're a people person, so much the better. People are at the very heart of everything this business does, and whether it's supporting your project team to fulfil a top notch solution, updating senior stakeholders on the progress of various projects, or just keeping the customer in mind in everything you do, you will need to have excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to build relationships with a variety of people.
You'll also be of particular note if you can bring a strong technical background, with the ability to cut through jargon and get the job done with the proper tools. Things need to be clean and concise, easily understandable throughout all stages of the project lifecycle, so you need to be able to break down technical barriers and make sure the answers are found for whatever problems may arise.
Are there any key skills or experience that I'll need?
* Technical proficiency in Windows Desktop solutions
* Good understanding of Wintel, O365, AD, SCCM, Azure, Skype
* Strong interpersonal skills
* ITIL, Prince II and Agile methodology exposure
* Experience taking projects across the full lifecycle
