Technical Business Development Manager

Job Overview:

A growing business within the Flint area are looking for a Technical Business Development Manager in order to manage client accounts, as well as grow their client base further. You will have revenue and profit responsibility and be capable of catapulting our business into its next stage of growth. This is a great opportunity for a Sales Professional, who is looking to further their career within a role with a company offering an excellent basic salary plus commission.

Job Description:

  • You will lead and oversee Sales & Business Development, Customer Service and Marketing
  • Sales leadership to develop and implement revenue driving strategies, which create long-term customer loyalty and ultimately business value
  • Prospect for potential clients and convert them into increased business opportunities
  • Develop long-term strategic partnerships with key accounts developing new sales opportunities within A and B tier customers
  • Setting and monitoring performance targets for each team member aligned to the overall strategy
  • Drive revenue and profitability whilst meeting the company's margin and growth objectives.
  • Managing and developing a small sales and marketing team
  • Build internal relationships and effectively resolve any issues within the team or between the team and the rest of the business
  • Lead and facilitate technical sales development of the team
  • Be a role model for quality and health & safety
  • Work with the Commercial Director to develop improved sales operating processes, procedures and systems to remove operational complexity and reduce admin
  • Oversee the marketing communications strategy and activities ensuring contact is timely and influential within the customer journey

Ideally you will have:

  • 3-5 year technical sales experience in exhibitions, events, signage, print or other related fields
  • Experience of public sector selling including bid writing
  • A proven track record in developing business with both new and existing
  • A demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels
  • Ability to identify new opportunities with a proven track record to target new business
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and drive things forward
