Search Scientific consultancy is a recruitment partner to an international water testing company based in Reading. In this role you will be managing a team who are responsible for analysing water samples using analytical techniques, and play a part in selecting future processes to meet changing customer demands.
Efficiently organise and manage the team to ensure that all samples are analysed to a high standard by suitably trained staff within a time limit appropriate to the client expectations.
Developing and contributing towards operational efficiency.
Optimising service delivery, in line with service line agreements and key performance indicators.
Carrying out analysis as required and maintains a high level of technical competence.
Maintaining the quality system in line with ISO 17025.
Leading, coordinating, training and developing a team of analysts to undertake the preparation and analysis of samples, for the determination of organic chemistry components.
Ensure that all staff is properly trained to perform the tasks given to them and keep the Contaminants Manager informed of the progress/performance of all staff.
Degree in Science discipline
Understanding of ISO, UKAS, audit procedures and methods.
Excellent understanding wet chemistry techniques and experience in working within a UKAS accredited laboratory
Previous experience in team management
