Excellent opportunity for a team leader position within an international food/Cannabinoid testing laboratory!

This is a permanent role based in Acton/London paying a competitive salary

Search Scientific consultancy is a recruitment partner to an international Food testing company who are looking for a Technical Team Lead to help establish and grow and new analytical service based in Acton. This is a great opportunity to gain experience with a desirable employer, where the successful individual will be performing Specialist Cannabinoid Analysis using LC-MS and UPLC.

Key responsibilities:

To support the set up, validation and accreditation of the 16 component Cannabinoid analysis via UHPLC/LC-MS to ISO17025:2017

To develop additional methods to enhance the CBD proposition as required, ex client specific methods for encapsulated products or LC-MS

To manage the subcontracting of associated analysis

Responsible for validating CBD methods for the basic CBD testing

Responsible for managing the work flow in the laboratory and all aspects of CBD Testing

Supporting development of methods as the industry and legislation evolves.

Validate and accredit lab and tests methods for the analysis of Cannabinoids to UKAS 17025 standards

Lead the Analysis of CBD via UPLC and LC-MS

Develop additional methods to improve offering available to clients

Support staff and train new team members

Requirements:

Degree in Science or related field

Experience within laboratory environment working as a Senior Analyst or team leader

Essential to have experience in working in a food or water testing laboratory

Excellent experience in people management within a UKAS ISO17025 laboratory.

Experience of chromatography method development, ideally UHPLC and/or LC-MS

previous experience of Analysing Cannabinoids would be a distinct advantage
