SEN Teaching Assistant (Special Educational Needs)
£17368 p/a + 8 weeks holiday per year
Permanent
Monday-Friday 8:45-4:45, 40 hours a week, and some driving needed.

Search are looking for an Enthusiastic and caring Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEN in a residential setting in a number of homes in South Manchester. Roles typical to this
Teaching Assistant include:

*To provide learning support for the pupils in class or in the community, either 1:1 or small groups.
*To develop knowledge of the particular needs of the child and seek advice from the Lead Teacher, and outside agencies as required.
*To aid access to the full range of learning experiences both inside and outside the classroom and provide modified materials as required e.g. worksheets, games, visual prompt cards etc.
*To make or modify resources as suggested and advised by the Lead Teacher, Educational Psychologist or other outside agencies.


Qualifications Needed:

*A GCSE or O level of C or above in English and Maths.
*A level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification would be desirable.
*A willingness to continue professional development training if required for the role's effectiveness.

Experience:

*Proven successful experience of working with children in an educational setting.
*Experience of working with children whom have ASC's or LD's.
*Have an understanding of the importance of lesson planning, IEPs and learning objectives to contribute to learning.

Hours are Monday-Friday 8:45-4:45, 40 hours a week, and some driving needed.
