Tax Accountant - Salary - Circa £50,000 - Permanent - Manchester

Working with Search, this innovative and forward thinking Global organisation is seeking a Tax Accountant to join their team based in Manchester

Main function of job:

The role will support the Partnership Accountant and Group Tax Manager respectively with the Partnership and Corporate tax affairs of the Group. This includes the maintenance of the firm's accounting records and forecasts with reference to the personal / corporate interests of the LLP's members.

The Partners of the firm expect the records of their drawings and personal tax calculations to be kept with absolute accuracy to facilitate the preparation of clear and accurate reports of their personal position.

b. Liaison with: Partners, Finance Team, HR Business Partners and External Advisors

  • CIMA/ACCA Part Qualified or Qualified
  • Technical accountingt experience in an international group.
  • Strong commercial awareness with the abilityin expalining technical accounting ideas to non- accountants.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to summarise information effectively.
  • Strong level of Excel
  • High level of attention to detail with significant emphasis on quality of work.
  • A self-starter with the ability to work autonomously and pro-actively.


  • To assist the Group Reporting Manager in delivering statutory accounts to the strict timetables required as a UK
  • Be a key contact for the Group's external auditors, taking ownership of timetables for deliverables deadlines.
  • Ownership and production of relevant parts of the monthly Group Management Accounts and associated reporting packs, through ownership of balance sheet reconciliations, reviewing and challenging movements
  • For Group cost areas, prepare monthly analysis of income and overheads, ensuring all costs are allocated correctly and rolling forecast updated through regular meeting with internal stakeholders.
  • Assist in the preparation of overhead budgets and forecasts, and the forecasting of balance sheet and cash flows.
  • Assist with understanding and documenting financial policies, procedures and processes
  • Assist with the preparation of and review of the tax and VAT submissions in and out of the UK.
  • Take responsibility for any journal postings made, ensuring the bank reconciliation team can quickly match to payments.
  • Assist with the development and training of the function's trainees.
  • Assist all other areas of the Financial Control Team as appropriate.

Interviews will be held via Teams and the organisation is currently working remotley.
