Role: Support Practitioner - alcohol and substance abuse experience essential
Salary: £11.08 per hour
Location: Renfrewshire
Working hours: Monday - Friday between 9am & 5pm

Search Consultancy is working with our client in Renfrewshire who is looking for Support Practitioners to join their team on full time basis in a permanent capacity or on a temporary basis for 6-9 months initially (will also consider part time applications). Experience of alcohol and substance abuse is essential and must be comfortable working in a community setting visiting service users with complex needs.
The role will be Monday to Friday 9am-5pm and is a 37hr per week contract.
Our client supports vulnerable people with various support needs including; Alcohol and Substance Abuse Mental Health Issues, Offending Behaviour, New to Own Tenancy, Fleeing Domestic Abuse, At Risk of Rough Sleeping/Homelessness, Anti-Social Behaviour (not an exhaustive list).

If you have experience working in an outreach environment or if you have life experience in homelessness and/or addictions then we want to hear from you. You will provide the highest standards of respect, support and care; overall, ensuring the dignity of the clients is maintained at all times. You need to be a good team player, communicator, listener, to be focused, dedicated and reliable.

You will be approachable, respectful and will have the personality to deal with different people and resilience to deal with challenging behaviours.

Whilst we are keen to speak to people with experience in the above, we also will take applications for people with the right values and genuine passion for care in this sector! Drivers with access to own vehicle desirable but not essential.
