Role: Support Practitioner
Salary: £17,340 - £18,624 (Dependant on experience)
Location: Edinburgh

Search Consultancy is working with our client in Edinburgh who is looking for a Support Practitioner to join their team on a permanent full time basis.

The role will be Monday to Friday 9am-5pm, with additional weekend work and/or late shifts when needed. This is a permanent 37hr per week contract.

Our client supports the 'Housing First programme', which supports people with long-term homelessness to access a permanent home and to receive the support they need to remain there.

If you have experience working in an outreach environment or if you have life experience in homelessness and/or addictions successfully coming through the other side, then we want to hear from you.

Never underestimate the role of a Support Practitioner takes - you will provide the highest standards of respect, support and care; overall, ensuring the dignity of the clients is maintained at all times. You need to be a good team player, communicator, listener, to be focused, dedicated and reliable.

Some of your roles & responsibilities as a Support Practitioner will include:

* Supporting people with sustaining their tenancy
* Getting them on track with mainstream life
* Assisting with daily living skills
* Getting them involved in groups within the community

You will need to be able to manage your own diary/caseload.

You will be approachable, respectful and will have the personality to deal with different people and resilience to deal with challenging behaviours.
