Civil Engineers improve the environment for all of us, that's basically the job, and nowhere is it more obvious to the general public than when work is being done to improve town and city centres. One such scheme, in Salford, is coming up and the contractor is looking for an experienced Sub Agent to manage the works on site.
Based on site for the duration of the works you will be responsible for the overall delivery of the scheme working alongside the Foreman and reporting to the Project Manager. You will be responsible for health and safety, programme and budget, client liaison, and the development of some of some of the junior staff.
To be considered for the role you should be able to show experience of managing similar works in the past. You should have a good understanding of elements such as utilities, paving, kerbing, street furniture, etc… SMSTS and CSCS are required.
This will be a high profile scheme and very much public facing. It is important that you are a strong communicator as well as an experienced civil engineer.
