Support Worker, Southport

We work with one of the UK's leading names in special educational care. They are looking for support workers to join them at one of their colleges for young people aged 16-25 years old who have learning and communication difficulties and complex behavioural needs.

What to expect as a Support Worker here

You'll be working on a personalised care plan for each individual student based on their individual and complex needs. A significant number of students have communication challenges, so you will be supporting them in ensuring they have access to a learning plan that's accessible and provides value.

You will also support students with additional life skills to ensure they live as independent a life as possible.


What you'll need

Ideally you will be NVQ/QCF 3 qualified or be up for studying towards this and be a driver.
You'll be 100% committed to the needs of the person with previous experience as a Support Worker.

Ideally you'll have previous experience of working with young people with learning difficulties and complex needs such as autism and anxiety. However if you're committed and willing to learn with some experience as a support worker, you can learn the rest.
