Working in London and the neighbouring counties, the Speech Therapy Manager, will work 40 hours a week in the healthcare sector with adults requiring specialist learning disability and mental health support.
The SLT Manager will be responsible for the management of the Speech and Language Therapist service, delivering effective evidence-based Speech and Language Therapy. Key duties include:
. Overseeing and developing the provision of speech and language therapy
. Managing and mentoring the SLT team ensuring optimum delivery of SLT services
. Contributing significantly to high standards of person-centred care
Therapy will be on a one-to-one basis, enabling individuals to get the most from sessions and lead more productive lives as a consequence.

. Be dysphagia trained and have a recognised speech & language therapy degree or equivalent
. Be a registered member of HCPC with a license to practice and a registered member of RCSLT
. Come from a previous role that involved strong leadership and management skills
. Have experience of the adult learning disabilities and mental health sector
. Have significant postgraduate experience working in learning disabilities is highly desirable
