Sous Chef - Award Winning Pub - Edgbaston - Up to £28,000
We are currently looking for an experienced Sous Chef for this fast paced food led pub. The style of food is very much modern British with an emphasis on fresh produce, Serving food from Elevenses, right through to dinner you will be flexible and well organised... and of course there is our traditional Sunday lunch too! Menus change every six weeks so you'll also need to be creative!!
The ideal candidate will have experience at a similar level, passion for the industry and ultimately the drive to be successful. An eye for detail and a keen interest in current food trends are also advantageous. Leading the team in the absence of the head chef you will be responsible for all junior chefs and will be both a mentor and manager.
You MUST ensure food standards are kept high, be punctual and be a real team player. All health and safety compliance and HACCP and COSHH requirements will need to be met. A good grasp of finances is a must!
Working five days out of seven to include evenings and weekends (mixed straight and split shifts), this position offers a salary of up to £28,000pa.
