Systems Developer (IT)

This is a permanent opportunity paying up to £25,000 per annum

My client is an international laboratory based in Conwy specialise in providing analytical services to Oil and Gas industry. They are currently looking to recruit a Systems Developer to join their IT team. This person will be responsible for provide development, on-going maintenance and technical support of Labware and laboratory related IT systems.

Key responsibilities

Work with a team of developers, developing, maintaining, testing and supporting the Labware LIMS within a complex rapidly changing business and technical environment.

Diagnose problems in labware, action within agreed schedules and priorities, make the necessary program changes and/or enhancements, observing all programming standards and procedures

Create and update system specifications and other documentation

Be involved with the analysis of requirements to ensure all new developments and enhancements complement the existing system

To report performance against Key Performance Indicators to the operations Manager

To identify and implement improvements within the work area

Any other ad hoc duties as and when required.

Requirements

Essential

Experience in Software development

Excellent communication and written skills

Excellent organisational and time management skills

Ability manage strict deadlines and working in a fast paced environment

Desired

Degree in Computer Science is desired but not essential

Previous experience in developing LIMS systems
