Are you a Social Worker in the Newcastle area with Senior Practitioner experience? There's an excellent opening for you with our client, who is currently looking for a Social Worker Senior Practitioner to join their team in Newcastle. The Social Worker position is on a contract basis, starting asap and lasting until the end of August 2020, subject to review.

In this child welfare Social Worker role, you will earn a competitive salary of £31 per hour and contribute to an incredibly crucial social role.

The Social Worker - Senior Practitioner role, will involve a caseload of children who are subject to Child Protection Plans, Child in Need Plans and also Children in Care. Some cases will be in Care Proceedings. The role will involve completing Child & Family Assessments and Child Protection Enquiry Assessments.

The ideal Social Worker Senior Practitioner will:
* Have a Social Work degree and Social Work England registration
* Have an enhanced DBS
* Be able to drive, unless a disability prevents you from doing so
* Have strong social work values backed up by experience

The Social Worker role is positioned within a collaborative and supportive team of up to 8 Social Workers (including Senior Practitioners) and managed by a Team Manager. Flexible working will be critical to this role. During the COVID-19 restrictions, all Social Work staff will be provided with adequate IT equipment to enable tasks to be completed remotely.
