Over the last couple of years, Yorkshire has been relatively quiet in terms of infrastructure development. The good news is that this is all about to change. We are working with the civil engineering contractor that is likely to be busiest over the next few years in the region and they have highlighted a number of vacancies that they are going to have to fill if they're going to successfully deliver on their commitments. The office location for these roles will be Leeds.
One of the roles is for a Site Agent and we are looking for candidates with drive to be the best they can be. You should be qualified to degree level as a minimum and have experience of working for a main contractor on highway infrastructure schemes. In terms of duties and responsibilities you will be required to ensure that the teams are working safely, produce/check RAMS, check permits, monitor works against programme, liaise with the QS in terms of cost/budget, compile site reports, as well as any other duties that may be required from time to time. It will also be your responsibility to supervise and act as a mentor to the more junior members of the team.
To be considered for the role you should hold the relevant academic qualification mentioned above and have demonstrable and current experience within civil engineering as a Sub or Site Agent. Ideally you will have gained that experience working for a Tier 1 contractor.
