You need to be an excellent team leader, strong team player, passionate about supporting people with a range of needs, and willing to go the extra mile. An excellent communicator, you will understand that all behavior is communication and will strive to build strong, empowering relationships. Having a positive outlook, a flexible approach and a genuine interest in understanding the needs of people with learning disabilities is essential.
The service provides 24 hour support to people in their own home, your main working hours will be Monday to Friday but you will be expected to work occasional evenings and weekends to meet the needs of the service.
You are also required to provide a management emergency on-call service on a rota basis.
The salary is £24,000 per annum pro rata as initially the post is for 30 hours a week but this will be reviewed in terms of an increase to 37 hours. We also offer a competitive workplace pension and paid annual leave.
