Earning up to £30,000 a year for a full-time shift-based role (which may include evenings, weekends and sleep-ins); you will lead a team of Support Workers to deliver a high-quality support service to people with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs in the community, their own homes or within a day provision.
Your Service Leader role:
? To recruit, supervise and appraise Support Workers
? To carry out any appropriate tasks as delegated by the Service Manager
? To ensure staff are familiar with and adhere to, company policies and procedures
? To ensure that the service provided meets regulatory and legislative requirements and address any concerns or issues of poor practice
Working as an experienced Team Leader within a motivated team, you will enable people with learning disabilities to lead fulfilling lives and develop their autonomy, choice and control. You will lead the Support Team by acting as a role model, coaching and demonstrating appropriate professional standards and a person-centred approach.
Your Team Leader skills:
You will need a recognised care management qualification, or the willingness to train for a QCF 5 in health and social care, and experience of managing staff and services for people with learning disabilities, profound/complex needs and sensory impairment. You should also have knowledge of health, medication, physical needs and innovative practices in supported living services. An understanding of legislation, Welfare Benefits and a commitment to equal opportunities is also required.
