An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a well known privately owned specialist civil engineering
business with a great reputation in the market and a tight knit commercial team. Working on stand alone and framework projects Within Marine, bridges, flood relief, Water & Waste Water environments the Senior Q.S will demonstrate relevant prior experience of NEC and / or ICC conditions.


Key Duties & Responsibilities will include:

* Valuation of value engineering options and design changes
* Producing quantities/schedules for procurement of subcontract packages - tendering
* Preparation and issuing of subcontract documentation to subcontractors
* Re-measurement of subcontract works for interim assessment
* Reviewing and processing subcontract payments
* Liaising with Project Team to produce Project Outturn Forecast and collective working to maximise Project profit
* Performing risk and value management & cost control
* Preparation of project interim assessments/valuations
* Preparation of monthly management reports
* Attending site meetings
* Preparation of contractual correspondence and notifications
* Liaising with site personnel to obtain site records and reconciling works claimed
* Assessment of Compensation Events/Valuation of Variations
* Negotiation of CE's or Variations with Employer
* Collect all possible revenues from contracts within specified timescales

To be considered you should be:

  • Degree Qualified in Quantity Surveying
  • Commensurate with COINS and Conquest Software (desired)
  • Be based within commutable distance of Glasgow / West of Scotland
  • Able to demonstrate significant tenures in permanent employments


Full UK driving license is also essential.

The successful candidate will join a highly respected business with a positive culture and a long successful history in Scotland. Remuneration is flexible DOE and will include:

  • £50 - £55K basic salary
