Senior Port Operations Coordinator

Highly Competitive Salary

Liverpool, City Centre

Monday - Friday, 35 Hours Per Week

To ensure that the relevant vessel calls run efficiently without issue, solving any operational issues and ensure all cargo shipped to correct vessel minimising short shipments. Act as a focal point for internal customers / departments when issues arise.

Key Responsibilities:-

  • Update on daily basis local platform to reflect latest service schedules data
  • Take ownership of handling and ensuring that the intended transhipment connections are put in place and any subsequent changes
  • Ensure transhipments are turned around in Port System as well and achieve optimum routing/Turnaround time
  • To liaise with Ports / Agents as required regarding the vessel call prospects to ensure berth availability and to provide correct number of lifts for optimum turn around of the vessel
  • Preparation of Load lists
  • Liaising with Cargo readiness team to ensure special cargo information is relayed to concerned parties
  • Checking container arrivals and clearances to ensure all cargoes are available to load on the intended vessel
  • Compile and issue Load and Discharge confirmation reports in line with the KPI
  • Update hazardous stowage information post sailing in corporate system
  • Arranging terminal services as required, such as Inspections / Repacking / Fumigation
  • Exec'ing of containers on to the quay for both full and empty
  • Notifying relevant departments of intended connections and any subsequent changes
  • Flexibility, as required, to assist the Port Operations function
  • Assist Department Supervisor / Manager as and when required
  • Assist as necessary with any issues relating to the laden exec process
  • Assist / train Port Operations coordinators in daily tasks, when ever required
