Senior Credit Controller

Working for a large and leading business with offices across the UK you will be responsible for managing your own set of medium and large client accounts with the responsibility of the recovery of complex outstanding debts. Duties & Responsibilities:

* Account management and creating new customer accounts
* Responsible for covering Team Leader duties and responsibilities
* Reducing the debtors ledger by chasing over due invoices over the phone and email
* Communicate with internal and external clients to ensure monthly targets are met
* Liaising with clients on a daily basis to resolve any queries to ensure speedy payments
* Act as main point of contact for billing and credit control queries
* Sending and reconciling accounts and supplier statements
* Dispute and negotiate payments plans
* Checking and reconciling all credit invoices before sending to customers
* Sending copy invoices and credit notes when requested
* Checking payments are correct and uploading them to the system
* Placing accounts on top to prevent debt increasing until payment has been received
* Clearing accounts at month end
* Working towards SAR rules

Skills & Experience:

* Previous experience as a Credit Controller in a legal or insurance environment
* Good use of Microsoft Excel and systems
* Ability to build relationships and negotiable payments
* High attention to detail and ability to solve complex queries
