We're looking to recruit a passionate and empathetic Senior Carer to join an exceptional care team in Nether Edge, Sheffield. Earning £19,000 per year and working 36.25 hours per week, you'll be providing the highest quality of nursing care and support to our Sheffield-based healthcare client.
If you were working for them, here are some of the things you would have done last week:
. Administered medication to residents in care homes
. Supported a team of nurses in their daily tasks
. Helped with and recorded all aspects of personal care, including feeding, bathing and dressing
. Followed care plans to meet the specific needs of the service users
The Care Home is set in a quiet leafy area. It offers Respite and Day Care, with plenty of stimulating and interesting activities. Getting to know service users, their interests and needs is an essential part of the job to help improve service users' quality of life as is engaging with their families to provide a continuity of services and communications.
To apply for this Senior Carer role, you will need:
. Three months' experience in a similar care role
. NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care as a minimum, and ideally be working towards a Level 3 (or equivalent)
. The ability to remain calm under pressure and cope with challenging behaviour
. Experience in administering medication
