Our client is a global freight forwarding and logistics specialist. The business has a diverse client base ranging from SME's all the way up to huge corporate brands, they have the capabilities to deliver a professional service and ensure they provide a prompt cost effective solution for anybody with an international shipping need. Covering the North of England, you will be required to enhance the existing relationships with core accounts to tailor a bespoke cost effective shipping solution to meet their logistical needs. You will be solely focused on the air and sea means of transport within your role and you should be able to use your existing market knowledge to bring on board and open up new channels of revenue via prospecting and targeting a group of potential clients within the patch allocated. The role will be a 70/30 split of account management and new business (in favour of new business) and you must be able to demonstrate outstanding relationship building skills along with having a keen eye for new potential opportunities.
Ideally you will possess or have experience in:
* Hunter gatherer mentality
* Minimum 10 years within the Air & Sea Freight Sectors
* Proven track record of progression or meeting targets
* Ability to understand a clients need and tailor a solution to meet those needs.
* Knowledge of shipping methods to provide a cost effective or time saving service
