My Client, a provider of capital equipment worldwide is currently looking to recruit a Sales Engineer to help grow and maximise revenue. Using a consultative approach, you would be the face of the company, frequently being the first point of contact to consult with businesses to offer a complex solution.
The product itself is highly specialised and technical, an engineers mind set would be required and although you wouldn't be carrying out any heavy engineering an ability to break down complex principles and offer a solution is essential. Conceptual design would stand out as many solutions would need to be tailored or altered to suit clients.
You would be supported by estimating teams, engineering resource and a strong leadership team. Sales processes can be lengthy and would ideally suit those dealing with higher value products/orders rather than high volume sales.
* Be the first point of contact to drive sales and revenue growth
* Provide consultancy to discuss and scope requirements
* Conceptual design input
* Close business across EMEA regions
* Liaise with delivery teams to ensure smooth runnings
BIDs/Tenders experience would be highly advantageous, as would an existing network within industries such as Aerospace, Medical, Nuclear, Power Gen or Related. Knowledge of materials science, especially Metallurgy would stand out.
Candidates must have a relevant qualification and some existing commercial experience however sales knowledge in a similar company may be hard to find. That being said candidates would be considered from various commercial backgrounds - a willingness to learn and develop is most important.
