Legal Secretary Residential Property
Location: Goole
Salary: Circa £16,000-£16,500 DOE

Are you a Secretary with excellent word processing and audio typing skills looking for a new opportunity?

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Legal Secretary to work for our client, a leading firm of solicitors based in Goole.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

* Trained in Secretarial practice
* Excellent word-processing and audio-typing skills
* Preferably previous experience as a legal secretary or experience of working in an alternative professional office
* 4 GCSEs at Grade "C", or the equivalent qualification
* Good organisational ability and client care skills
* The minimum educational standards may be waived if; in view of HR Manager the Legal Secretary has relevant previous work experience

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

* You will provide support to your Head of Department and Principal, allowing the department to operate at optimum efficiency
* You are expected to use a high degree of self-management and initiative, mindful of client care at all times
* You will prepare correspondence and documents for fee-earners through audio-typing and word processing and use of the Case Management system
* You will administer filing (which will include daily filing) and the opening, closing, storage and retrieval of client files in accordance with the detailed procedures contained in the Office Manual
* You will prepare mail and enclosures for collection by the Administration Assistants
* You will administer photocopying
* To make appointments, arrange meetings and to maintain an up-to-date diary for his/her Principal if required to do so
* You will check own work to minimise errors and avoid corrections by fee-earners
* You will provide support to other secretaries as required
* You will provide guidance to less senior and temporary secretaries when required to do so
* You will attend clients both in person and on the telephone when required to do so and to provide such support in a professional and friendly manner in keeping with the firm's standards for client car
* You will undertake any specific training when required, and overall to have a responsibility towards self-development
* You will ensure the confidentiality of all the firms and client's documentation and information.
* You will ensure and adequate supply of stationery, office consumables
* You will complete ad hoc tasks as required by your Head of Department and Principal
* You will liaise with the Head of Department/Administration Department regarding the booking of holidays
