Regulatory Solicitor - Leeds
If you are a solicitor based in Leeds, this opportunity will be of great interest to you. A Leeds based firm is looking for an experienced Regulatory Solicitor or Regulatory Barrister to join their busy team of legal experts. The role comes with a competitive salary and excellent company benefits.
In this Regulatory legal role, you will be working for a leading law firm providing legal services to the health, social care, housing and emergency services sectors, as well as in the field of professional discipline. You will be engaging with a wide range of clients in both the public and private sector.
The work requires managing an investigatory caseload where it is alleged that the registrant's fitness to practice is impaired through misconduct, competence or health issues and preparing those cases for hearings before panels and committees of the relevant regulators.
If you were currently carrying out this Regulatory Solicitor role, this is how the previous week would have looked:
? Various case plans prepared
? Advice offered on diverse procedural issues
? Conferences with counsel attended
? Key witnesses interviewed
Your week could also have included preparing instructions for counsel, contacting several witnesses in separate cases and liaising with the defence in the run-up to the hearing. You will also be preparing the final reports after each case in your portfolio.
Previous experience in the field of regulation and professional discipline is strongly preferred, but not essential. If you can demonstrate transferable skills, self-motivation and a commercially minded approach to legal work, you should still apply.
In return for your regulatory skills and expertise, you will be rewarded with an excellent salary and benefits package. Flexible working can be discussed at interview, too.
